How do I migrate my data from an old hard drive to a new one if they are both installed on the same computer?

Solution
Important: It is not recommended that you perform these instructions unless you have some familiarity with swapping hard drives on your computer. It is beyond the scope of Laplink Technical Support to troubleshoot any issues that may arise when performing this procedure.
- Install the new drive as the primary and boot from it.
- Install PCmover on the new hard drive.
- Run PCmover as the "New" computer, and select "Using Files" as the transfer method.
- Save the snapshot in a location that is accessible by both drives.
- Shutdown the computer, swap the drives, and boot off the OLD hard drive.
- Install PCmover on this hard drive.
- Run PCmover as the "Old" computer and select "Using Files" as the transfer method.
- Load the snapshot file from the location you saved it to in step 4.
- It will create the Moving Van file. Save this in a location that is accessible by both drives.
- Shutdown the computer, swap the drives, and boot off the NEW hard drive
- Run PCmover again as the "New" computer and select "Using Files" as the transfer method.
- This time rather than creating another snapshot, select "Skip this step. I already have a snapshot."
- Load the Moving VAN file from the location that you saved it to earlier and let it unpack.
