LapLink V/DOS copies the desired files (or directories and files) 100% error free but are not found on the destination computer after doing so.
Cause
The files (or directories and files) were probably copied to a different location than expected, possibly to the \LL5 subdirectory. This usually occurs when the target (or destination) computer is used to control the copy operation.
Solution
Check the following:
- Look at the destination side of the screen and see if the LL5 (or other) directory is open and if the files (or directories and files) are there. You can tell what drive or directory is open by viewing the path at the bottom left-hand corner of both the left- and right-hand sides of the screen.
- If the desired drive or directory is not open, keep the highlight bar on the destination side of the screen and use the Change Directory command from the Disk main menu and change to the desired location (C:\ to put them at the root drive level for example).
- Move the highlight bar to the source side of the screen, select the items to be copied by pressing the [Spacebar], then press [F2] to copy them.
- You could also use the Move command from the File menu of the destination computer to move the files to the desired location through a "Local - Local" display (both sides of the screen displaying the local computer).
