What is a “Premium” connection?
Answer
A “Premium” connection allows two members who are both behind firewalls or routers to connect
with one another simply and securely. ShareDirect will automatically establish a connection for you
without requiring you to change your existing firewall or router configuration. To accomplish this,
ShareDirect uses Laplink's relay server. These connections appear in the “Status” bar of your
Windows File Manager as “Premium” connections. The ShareDirect Edition you signed up for will
determine the monthly amount of data you can download through a “Premium” connection.
