Question
How do I set up a shared folder?
Answer
ShareDirect gives you three options for setting up a shared folder. Choose the option that best
suits the way you work:
Option 1: Right-click on the ShareDirect icon in the system tray and choose "Set up a shared
folder". This will launch a wizard to lead you through the process.
OR
Option 2: Right-click on the folder you want to share and choose "Make this a Shared Folder"
from the drop-down menu. This folder will open in ShareDirect’s "split-window" mode, with your
local files in the upper pane. The lower pane will be blank, but in future you'll see other
members' shared files in this space. Click on the "Members" tab, then click the “Invite” button,
and select or add members to share this folder with.
OR
Option 3: Open the folder you want to share. Click on the ShareDirect icon in the upper
right corner of the toolbar. Choose "Make this a Shared Folder" from the drop-down menu. The folder
will open in ShareDirect's "split-window" mode. Click on the "Members" tab, then click the “Invite”
button and select or add new members to share this folder with.
