Can I use a non-Laplink Serial cable for FileMover connections?

Answer

No, it is not recommended to use a non-Laplink serial cable, since not all serial cables are optimized as data-transfer cables. Laplink technicians will support Laplink-brand serial cable connections, as well as Belkins-brand null modem cable connections only.
