Laplink Everywhere - FAQ's


I cannot access my e-mail using Laplink Everywhere even though I can access my files.


You must configure the Norton firewall to not filter port 83 which Laplink Everywhere requires for e-mail communications. If you do not have Norton firewall software installed, then please contact Laplink Technical Support for further troubleshooting. To configure Norton, take the following steps:
  1. Open up Norton Internet Security by double-clicking on its icon in the system tray.
  2. Click on Options.
  3. Click on the Firewall tab.
  4. Under HTTP port list, locate and highlight port 83 and click on the Remove button. This will prevent port 83 from being filtered.
  5. Click OK.
Once this is done, try accessing your e-mail again.
